Why Rooze exists
I built Rooze in two weeks over the Christmas 2025 break as a passion project in my spare time. I’ve always been excited by AI image generation — and I especially love the little-known, amazingly powerful SD1.5 checkpoints that community creators have made.
I wondered if I could get them working in the browser and bring them to a wider audience. After many failures, I suddenly found the magic ingredient to make it work — and Rooze text-to-image generation became viable.
About me
I have a PhD in Robotics and AI and 20 years of experience building some of the most innovative software applications in the world.
As a Product Manager at Google, I had the privilege of being part of the secret team that delivered the first version of Android. My sub-team focused on advanced features of the Android browser.
I’m happiest when coding and leading engineering teams — but I can turn my hand to pretty much anything.
